James,

An unclean spirit normally finds a home within someone who have sinned. Apart from exorcism, which I doubt is necessary when someone acknowledges the presence of the unclean within him or herself, the best way to rid oneself of the unclean is to go for confession to the nearest priest. Tell him openly what you suspect is wrong with you. Repent and be forgiven and you will receive the grace of God, which will cleanse you.

I think what one must always remember after confession and forgiveness, is to pray and ask God to help you that "you go and sin no more".
