Please pray for my son who is addicted to drugs and alcohol

My son is now 40 years old and for the past 18 years has been addicted to heroin. He has tried many times to come off the drug with a number of detoxes and is now on a methadone programme. He attempted to use alcohol to help him get off the drugs but has now become an alcoholic drinking a bottle of vodka a day and sometimes more.

I have tried so hard to help him over the years and it breaks my heart to see him in this state. He is not a bad person, in fact he still tries to be a loving and caring son, but the drugs and alcohol always come first.

Please please pray for him to find peace from the torment he is in. And for me, to find the strength to cope.
