Birth of my Child

by Gail
(Louisiana)

In 1988 I was pregnant with a due date of 8/25/88. Well,

I did not know the sex of my child and in those days the
doctors did not induce as quickly as they do now.

When we reached 9/1/88 and still not in labor I began to think of September 8th (the day the Catholic Church celebrates our
Mother's birthday). I told my husband that if that baby waited till 9/8 to be born, it would be a girl and we had to name her Mary. She was born at 20 minutes after midnight and her name is Mary. I had done a special dedication to Mary thru St Louis De Monfort on Aug 15th.

The day of Baptism, there was another baby being baptized. His name was Joseph. I must say that my daughter is a regular person, married to a wonderful man, and hoping to start a family soon. I have seven children and they are all special to me. They have given me 14 grandchildren so far. I thank God for his blessings on my family.
