Ministry

by Juan
(South Ozone Park NY GRT)

I am a Roman Catholic deacon. A few years ago, my wife left me for someone else. She put in for a divorce. Because of this, I had to step down from my ministry until this whole situation gets resolved. It has been four years since I have ministered as a deacon. I am praying for a resolution for my problems and that I can be able to come back and serve the Lord as a deacon once again. I am now a celibate deacon leading a chaste life, since my divorce. Therefore, I am praying to return to active ministry as a deacon. I ask for the intercession of the Blessed Mother Mary who has given me the strength to persevere.

Divorce in Catholic Church
by: Caeli

Hi there!

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. What I cannot understand is that the Catholic Church allowed you to divorce. If you did not go to the Church authorities with it, maybe you should do so, repent and make confession. Otherwise i think you must just go in fasting and prayer before the Lord, ask his forgiveness and allow the Holy Spirit to show you your fault in all of this. You know it is said,"it takes two to tango". God is big enough to forgive you and allow you back into ministry if you confess your faults before him.

All the best, Mr deacon of the Church. I will pray for you.
God bless you, from Caeli
