Mother doesn't like Me

The mother (and ex-girlfriend) of my boyfriend's only child does not like me. She is making it a bit difficult for me to form a relationship with the daughter. I am very shy and don't want to confront her. I have started a novena for our relationship. Please pray that we all act with maturity and sensibility to do what's best for everyone involved, especially the child.
