Pray for Purpose in Life

by Grace Ann M. Velez

Greetings of Peace.!

Please pray for me that I may have an "obedient heart." In "Neocatechumenal Way"., a Christian formation where I was called by the Lord, I heard a vocational call/announcement for all those who have the desire to serve as "itinerant" to stand up and join the team who'll evangelize in wherever part of the country or nations they would be sent.
When I heard the announcement, God blessed me with the desire to stand up and totally surrender myself to His "call." But my weakness, my fear and my love for myself, stopped me from responding to God's call. I was clothed with fear of abandoning my job where I am holding a permanent position. I am afraid to lose my job, to lose money and totally leave my "comfort zone."
Since the time I heard that invitation last October 31, 2010 and was not able to respond with it, I begin to have a heavy heart and my desire to serve grows abundantly in my heart.
Come Nov.25-28, 2010., our Community will have a "Beginning of the Year" Convivence and at the last day, there would be another invitation and "vocational call." Please pray for me to really believe and put my trust in God, to be able to gather strength from the Lord and be filled with His Holy Spirit. Because the desire is still in my heart., to leave my "comfort zone", to stand up, serve other people through Evangelization and totally surrender to God's Holy Will.
Salamat sa Diyos.
