Prayer for the Restoration of my Parents’ Marriage

Dear Brothers and Sisters in the Lord,

Please help me pray for my parents, Chito and Lou, who have chosen not to stay married. Though they both live in my brother’s home in Texas, they only treat each other as acquaintances. My father is bitter and rude to her because she sent her divorce papers fro the US while we were living in the Philippines. My mother “believes” that she has made the right decision and will make the divorce work, since she feels that she won’t grow if she stays married to my Papa. I have talked to her, now that she’s living here in the Philippines with me, to pray for restoration but she’s stubborn and says she doesn’t want to make it work because it doesn’t make her happy. Please please please pray with me that they may see each other with a renewed sense of love, respect & commitment. That they may forgive each other’s faults and weaknesses and be willing to do whatever it takes to make their marriage work, for the praise and glory of God our Father, Jesus the Son and our Comforter, the Holy Spirit. May there be unity, harmony and peace in our family, as our parents reconcile and become one again. They haven’t celebrated their anniversary after my Mama left for the States in 2002. They are supposed to celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary in November of 2020.
