Prayers needed for Mom & unborn baby

Please pray for Rachael and her unborn baby. Rachael's blood test showed she is pregnant but also told she has cancer. She has put off treatment so as not to harm the baby. Ultrasound showed she was expecting twins but has lost one. She is now seeing a High Risk Ob/Gyn who told her that the placenta has attached over the opening to her cervix putting her life and that of her unborn baby at severe high risk. She has spotted once and the Dr. told her that if it happens again she will be put in the hospital until the baby is born because she could bleed to death in a matter of a few minutes and no one could do anything to save her and her baby. The Dr. said that her life and that of her baby are "lying in the balance". We have a long way to go...Rachael is at 12 weeks into this pregnancy. On a happier note she is going through RCIA at our church (St. Lawrence) to receive her Confirmation! I am praying to Our Blessed Mother and started a Novena to Saint Gerard Majella as well.
