Rock of Salvation

Following many years of journeying to Lourdes with the sick, including a year's stage with the Hospitalite, we formed our own Lourdes Pilgrimage group. We called it Massabielle after the name of the Grotto, as we needed to stay focused on the purpose of our pilgrimage: that purpose was to take our own local, Keighley, West Yorkshire sick people on pilgrimage to Lourdes.

After several fundraisers and many meetings and much hard work and dedication from our group we set up a website at www.massabielle.co.uk and a Twitter account at @MassabielleTeam we encouraged six assisted pilgrims and we now number 21 helpers.

We are going as part of the Society of Our Lady of Lourdes and hope ti link up with other local pilgrimages whilst we are there from 29th May 2011.
